Catharine got into mountain biking at 16 after a youth spent growing up on a farm riding horses. With an older brother, keeping up with the boys was always a goal and mountain biking the perfect avenue. Fast-forward 20 years, Catharine is now a three-time Olympian and bronze medalist, two-time World Champion and three-time world cup overall winner. Based in British Columbia you can find her on the trails and mountains all summer and in winter Nordic and DH skiing.
Catharine Pendrel By The Numbers
First memory riding:
I didn’t have a clue what I was doing on the bike, but I loved the group of people that were out doing it so stuck around to figure it out!
On My Day Off:
I catch up on life, coffee, cooking, yoga, bills the normal stuff. I am taking an online course, coach and am president of my local bike association so there is no shortage of things to do!
