"Move to the beat of your heart. Do whatever it is that makes your heart beat, that makes you feel truly alive."
Elena Hight has been redefining what it means to be a professional snowboarder ever since she became the first female to land a 900 in competition at age 13. This Kauai born, Lake Tahoe raised athlete is a one of the sport’s shining stars. She began riding at age 6, started competing at age 8, and before her 24th birthday, Elena had landed a trick (a double backside alley-oop rodeo) that had never been completed successfully in a competition in the history of the sport! Elena’s passions extend far beyond snowboarding. Her focus on maintaining an active, healthy, and balanced lifestyle has led her to form a number of good habits. Running, yoga, surfing and creative cooking all sit in her quiver of favorite past times. She has somehow even made time to contribute recipes to a published cookbook or two. At 26 years old, Elena is primed to have another breakout season of raising the ceiling on the competitive snowboarding world!
