New Orleans—Day 1(revisited)

More from the In Good Company crew...Day One in New Orleans, continued... We’re back in New Orleans for a little trip called In Good Company—Partnerships for Change. Seven companies have joined together in New Orleans to work on various rebuilding projects, learn about the community efforts, hang out with our nonprofit friends and much, much more! Everyone arrived Sunday in New Orleans, we settled in and hosted a fabulous Dia De Los Muertos party. Yummy mexican food and conversations an awesome group and then we hit the hay. New Orleans—Day 1

So, I’m here in New Orleans with 8 other Clif people—all of us here to work with In Good Company, a labor force comprised of employees from like-minded companies who volunteer their time to make positive change in the world. This time we around, we've partnered with a bunch of other great folks to build a community garden and a home in neighborhood that's making a comeback after Hurricane Katrina. Bike paths, snow and more mountains...Gary sends another update from his adventure in the Dolomites. DAY FIVE Looked out the window the second I got up to check the weather, and it was spectacular—clear as a bell. Cold but at least it was dry. Our route for the day was long, over 160 kilometers, heading down to the Valley through Bolzano, up over the Passo Mendolla, and over the Passo Tonale to a very cool town called Ponte di Legno. When we hit the valley leading to Bolzano, I spotted something that looked like another bike path. As I mentioned…

Gary’s Adventure in the Dolomites Continues

Gary's back with more from his adventure in the Dolomites with his friend Gregg. Read on for a recap of days three and four. More climbs, more food, and a bit of rain. DAY THREE It’s another spectacular day in the Dolomites. We started on an amazing bike-only trail from Cavalese to the Passo Valles, then went on to the Passo Pellegrino. A quick panini in Moena and then up the Val di Fassa and over the Passo Selle to Selva Val Gardena. We ran into some rain today on the descent into town but it wasn't too cold.…
