One Step at a Time

I wish I a had a photo of the stairs I constructed today. Why, you ask? Liz and I have been working on the darn things for two days and apparently they were supposed to be 70 inches instead of 64. But that's how it goes when you have no background constructing homes; but we're learning! Lesson learned: measure twice, cut once. A green greenhouse

Last week a few of us went back to Double Rock community garden in San Francisco to install a greenhouse we promised Ms. Jackie we'd put together. The thing was like a giant Ikea project. If you've ever put together something from Ikea, you can imagine; the directions appeared clear, the parts all seemed to be there but the shear enormity was just overwhelming. I can't tell you how many nuts and bolts were strewn around the grass as we struggled to piece together different metal parts.
