For the next two months, LUNA heads out on tour with Lilith Fair. In a flurry of over 30 cities in the US and Canada, Lilith features a huge group of top female artists including Sarah McLachlan, Mary J. Blige, Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, Cat Power, Erykah Badu and many more. And our very own Shannon is hitting every single stop on the tour.

Hi, I’m Shannon Mujica and I have a feeling that for the next few months I’ll be known as the “LUNA Girl”. Why, you ask? For the next eight weeks I will be on tour representing LUNA all over Canada and the US with Lilith Fair—a celebration of women in music—that officially kicks off this Sunday, June 27 in Calgary!

I am overjoyed to have this opportunity to share the road with some of the best female musicians in the world, give out delicious samples of LUNA Bars and share in the sisterhood that was born of common interests in lifestyle, balance, strength, environment, community and support toward one another. I’m also extremely happy to spread the word about what nourishment means in a “whole-life” way.

Today officially marks the start of summer. And this week in Clif Bar events doesn’t slack—we’re in Northern and Southern California, Chicago, Colorado, Washington and beyond. We’re even out at the Lilith Fair kick-off, and soon week we’ll have our very own Lilith coverage from our very own Shannon, who is covering the tour from city to city!

Sun River, OR - Pacific Crest Triathlon Weekend - Each year, during the last weekend in June, athletes, joined by their family and friends, converge on Central Oregon to take part in the Pacific Crest Sports Festival. The Pacific Crest is known as the jewel of multi-sport events in the Northwest and has become a destination race for athletes from across the nation as well as internationally.

The Pacific Crest Sports Festival includes the Long Course Triathlon, Endurance Duathlon, Marathon and Half Marathon, Olympic Distance Triathlon & Duathlon, 5K & 10K Run/Walks, and a Kid’s Splash Pedal-n-Dash Triathlon & 1-mile and 1/2-mile Dash. The Long Course Triathlon is the TRI NorthWest Long Course Tri Championship. The Marathon is a Boston Qualifier.

Colleen Cooke in Colorado (say that one five times fast!) played the role of Clif Bar & Company’s own Little Red Riding Hood a few weekends ago when she brought LUNA Bar out to support an all women’s cycling event, and by the sounds of things this wasn’t just your average girls’ day out for a ride. Colleen had me at chocolate fountain, but I think the rest of y’all out there should read on.

What do chocolate fountains, Wonder Woman, tutus, road rash, women, bikes and Little Red Riding Hood have in common? One crazy fun weekend!

You thought Little Red Riding Hood was a fun little story you read when you were younger, you say? Nope...it’s an all-women’s bike ride in Lewiston, Utah that attracts 3000+ women to saddle up for miles of fun, costumes, tasty treats and some serious girl time. This is a ride where costumes are the norm and full, and matchy-match kits are almost non-existent. Not to say this ride does not attract some serious riders though, because I am here to tell you that I met some amazing women from all fitness backgrounds who rode anywhere from the 16-mile course to the 100-mile course.
