CLIF MOJO’s Trailblazing History

Click to see full-size MOJO timeline. Launching our new CLIF MOJO Fruit & Nut and Dark Chocolate bars got us thinking about the history of MOJO. It was during an employee campout in the Sierra Nevadas that CLIF founder Gary Erickson pulled out a cookie sheet full of a "snack" he had been working on. The team was busy cooking…

Team CLIF Bar Weekend Results Round Up

Wow, what a weekend for Team CLIF.  Four of us desk jockeys who work to keep our athletes fueled traveled to the Sierras for the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run.  We got to chat with our athletes and some of ultra running's best known names at a dinner co-hosted by our friends at Montrail the night before.  We also attempted to make the smokiest camp fire ever and enjoyed some time sleeping outside. We trekked out past the first main aide station on a cold and wet morning to cheer the runners on from the course.  It must have…

Thank you Sea Otter, thank you bicycle

Thank you Sea Otter attendees and Clif Bar fans… thank you all who crossed our path at the Sea Otter Classic last weekend in Monterey, California. Man, was it a hoot! And another sunny reminder that the bicycling life is the good life. We pedaled hard, we worked hard, and we partied… very responsibly. And we were constantly filled with laughter, camaraderie and stoke, thanks to all of you. That’s the cool thing about Sea Otter, everyone there is on common ground and you can feel it. You can see it, hear it and even smell it. Sweet bike-elixir of…

Thanks to Our Bay Area Fun Riders!

We wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out for the CLIF BAR 2 Mile Challenge “Fun Ride to the Academy” on Sunday in San Francisco. Within two hours we had given away all 100 of our free tickets to the California Academy of Sciences to folks who rode their bikes to the museum. It was especially great seeing so many families out riding on a beautiful Bay Area day. Keep an eye out for other CLIF BAR events across the country by checking our Events Calendar.

Garmin-Slipstream holds strong on the climb to Arcalis

The Tour de France continued today with the first real climbing test of the race, as stage 7 took the riders from the Spanish coast up to the 2240m Pyrénéan ski station at Arcalis. The boys at Garmin-Slipstream entered the stage with their two top riders, Bradley Wiggins and Christian Vande Velde, sitting in the 6th and 8th spots respectively on General Classification. Late in the today’s stage, with an early group of breakaway riders set to finish well up the road from the GC contenders, Astana was happy to set a hard tempo up much of the 10.6km climb.…
