100 Years Old and Still Full of Fury - Happy Birthday to Le Tour!
Blame an attractive high school French teacher and early exposure to the films of Francois Truffaut for Matt Walsh's francophile tendencies. Then later came bike racing and watching the grandest race of all, the Tour de France. So as a freelance writer, there’s pretty much no place he’d rather be than in France on the race routes of Le Tour. It’s always an adventure that goes full-gas.

Follow Matt's Tweets, photos and posts live.

To celebrate 100 wonderful years of racing bikes through France, we sent our buddy Matt on a little adventure along the glorious white roads of the race course.

Garmin-Sharp Hand-Off

At CLIF, we love the journey; and many of our journeys happen on a bike. Gary’s travels through Europe taught him all about riding on the white roads. Matt's adventure in France will take part on those magical little roads - where the whole spectacle of Le Tour truly comes alive.

Enjoy behind-the-scenes moments with our friends from the Garmin-Sharp team while discovering all sorts of unique characters, unexpected roadside creations, race route celebrations, some good French eats and whatever surprises the road serves up.

We invite you to join Matt & CLIF on a humorous and personal adventure along the white roads of France on CLIF Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It’s the 100th birthday of Le Tour - we expect quite a ride.
