- Alison Gannett Joins the Save Our Snow Winter Roadtrip
The S.O.S gig has been on the road for about a week now. Well hot-damn, Mike’s veggie RV has made it to Sugarbowl, Nothstar, Mammoth & Vegas! Guess that thing really works. We’ve been stoked to have TEAM CLIF BAR athletes Lorenzo Worster, Lynn Kennen and Kimmy Fasani in the mix already! We spoke with Mike yesterday and he was heading out of Vegas on his way to Utah, but not before picking up world champion freeskier & passionate environmentalist Alison Gannett who’ll be bringing her skiing skills and sustainability knowledge to the SOS Tour. The fun’s just getting started!

Love the bars but the wraps aren’t recyclable? What gives?
Hi Susie,
This is Diana—-I work in the Sustainability Program at CLIF Bar. You’re absolutely right about the wrappers—-they aren’t recyclable and they go straight to the landfill after you eat the bar. It’s an important issue for us; so important that we’ve spent the last few years working on finding a package that’s better for the environment. Unfortunately, there’s currently no sustainable wrapper out there that keeps the products fresh until you eat ‘em. But we’re not giving up the search.
