- LUNAFEST is Here
It’s just about time to roll out the red carpet (and your popcorn-making machine). The 2009-2010 LUNAFEST Film Festival season kicks off in San Francisco next Thursday, October 1st.
We’re coming up on our 9th annual year of award-winning films by, for and about women. This year’s lineup includes 10 films that tell the different stories of womenfrom aging and motherhood to body image and love. Inspiring stories, quirky animation and touching documentaries, the program even includes a film directed by Courteney Cox. All proceeds from the premiere, and 15% of all other LUNAFEST screenings, support our good friends over at the Breast Cancer Fund.
If you find yourself in our neck of the woods (San Francisco, to be exact), stop on by and get a first glimpse of this year’s films. The festival starts at 7:30pm at The Herbst Theater; VIP reception at 6pm in the North Light Court of the lovely SF City Hall. You can purchase tickets online.
For more details on the premiere, check out cityboxoffice.com.
Can’t make it to the premiere? Check out lunafest.org to find out how you can host your own LUNAFEST or find a festival near you.
Hope to see you there!

Hi Amy,
I’m constantly inspired by the work that Luna does to better the community around them. Events like LUNAFEST send a strong message that you are a company committed to engaging with some of the most pressing issues of today, like women’s health and unequal gender representation in the media.
I’m a recent graduate living in Berkeley. I would love to learn more about Luna and your role within the company. Are you available for an informational interview?
Best,
Rachel Finkelstein
