- Check out that Line
If you’re at all familiar with the concept of a traditional Community Supported Agricultural program (CSA), you know that subscribers receive a weekly (or monthly!) bundle of producefruits, veggies, maybe some flowers. Though some of us around the office receive a produce-focused veggie box every week (courtesy of the lovely Riverdog Farms), we recently decided to venture into a new land.
The land of meat boxes. Yup.
Our friends up at Prather Ranch Meat Company put together a pretty cool deal for the meat eaters around the office that was too tough to pass up (hence the crazy line that formed outside upon their arrival).
Prather Ranch drives down from their 34,000-acre ranch, sets up shop in our parking lot (cash register included) and hands out the CSA bags. After about an hour, every CLIF meat-CSA subscriber was the proud owner of ten pounds of sustainbly-grown meat.
