- RAGBRAI—Let the Games Begin
Is this heaven? No—it's RAGBRAI…
The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) is a week-long venture where two-wheelers (of the pedaling-variety) embark on a 472-mile ride across the state of Iowa—hence, the name.
As the ride turns 37-years old this year, the Midwestern-based Clif Bar team has decided to roll through. The ride begins Sunday July 18 on the Western border of Iowa and finishes Sunday July 25th at the edge of the Mississippi River. That’s a whole lot of riding, and handing out Clif Bars, too.
Aliy (our Chicago Field Marketing Rep), Eric, Brian, and Adam have been putting in their fair share of time on the saddle to prepare. It’ll be seven days of sampling, riding (of course), and eating crazy food (apparently, RAGBRAI’s known for some interesting vittles provided along the way).
The crew has high hopes of writing about their adventures on a daily basis but the wilderness isn’t always the most internet-friendly environment. Fingers crossed that all cyber connections align.
And, if you’re part of RAGBRAI and happen to see the Clif Crew out there on the road, say hello and snag a bar for the ride.
