CLIFcast 07 - Stage 3 30:33
After yesterday's 95-mile hilly terrain, the riders had a solid 17-mile individual time trial today.
Our first four cuts today offer a behind-the-scenes at the Tour of California. Pre-race, we have Dylan riding down to San Jose with Hans Rey, and the stage guys who set up the finish line. Next, Dylan has (yet another) run-in with a police officer, Cha Cha Ramone. Don't worry, it's all OK.
After the awards ceremony, he checks in with my boss, Michelle, who presented the Clif Bar & Company Green sprinter's jersey to yesterday's overall leader, now in 4th, George Hincapie.
After all was said and done, Floyd Landis won today's time trial stage, a full 26 seconds faster than second place Dave Zabriskie. Next up, some of the top American riders: Freddie Rodriguez, Dave Zabriskie speak with Dylan. Then we listen in as main stage announcer Jeff Roake interviews new leader Floyd, Bobby Julich, Sprint leader George Hincapie and Levi Leipheimer.
In a little switch-a-roo, Dylan turns the mic on Jeff Roake, putting the main stage announcer in the hotseat. They talk about the future of American cycling and what's happening in this race.
