- Halloween Safety Tips
Leave the spookiness of Halloween to the costumes and make sure your kidlets are safe while they’re out there trick-or-treating.
Our good friends at Fehr and Peers put together a handy neighborhood safety checklist to help.
Are there cracks in the sidewalk?
Are the walkways well lit?
Are there trees or other objects blocking stop signs?
Do drivers tend to roll through intersections?
Work through the checklist and read up on any quick fixes to do before the arrival of All Hallows’ Eve...
Consider it just a few steps that’ll help ensure that your little ghosts and goblins get to creep around in a safe neighborhood.
You can download the complete list here (pdf).
And…if you’re looking for a nutritious spooky-themed treat, check out CLIF Kid Organic ZBaR™ Spooky S’moreswith 10 grams of whole grains and 12 vitamins and minerals, Spooky S'mores is a yummy and wholesome alternative to all that scary Halloween candy.

amy, i just visited the CLIF site for the first time, partly out of interest to what all goes on with the “team”, but also because I wanted to comment on the bars. even though we don’t go on near so many exotic treks and expeditions as everyone there, my wife and i still do a lot of mountain hikes here in california. we live right across the bay from you, in Concord, and we travel everywhere from Shasta Park down to the desert mountains of San Diego for our enjoyment of hiking. we have started taking the Clif bars with us on about every trip because. we went through several brands and styles of nutrition snacks and finally decided that the Clif was by far the best tasting, nutrition packed food source to carry for all day hikes. another thing that may be small details, but important to me, is that the bars are made and wrapped not to become messy, smashed or broken during tossed around in the backpacs. this just simply makes them that much more enjoyable when we finally reach our summits and are ready for a great tasting reward. Thanks for the product that i think of as another part of a good day! tim
