- Let’s Go to the Olympics
Our office is a buzz with excitement for the start of the winter Olympics.
In the spirit of The Games, I'm heading up to Lake Tahoe to watch them from within a wintery, white setting. That way when I get inspired to take up Bobsleeding or Biathloning, it’ll be that much easier. Kinda hard to do from here in our Berkeley office.
Over the last few weeks, I've gotten the question (in some variation or another)..."So, what’s up with Clif Bar and the Olympics?" In the event you were wondering the same thing, here's the scoop.
Our friend Mike Parziale, of Save Our Snow Road Trip, Grease Not Gas and Grease Bus fame, has been invited to be the official veggie oil powered shuttle bus for Grouse Mountain. Grouse is located just outside Vancouver and happens to be hosting the Today Show broadcast (among other things). He'll be taking people to and from Grouse and Vancouver during the games.
Pretty cool, huh?
So, if you're up in Canada for the Olympics, find Mike and catch a ride. Otherwise, check back here for updates on Mike’s Olympics adventures.
Sidenote: the video below finds Mike helping out with the torch relay. Look closely and you’ll see him and the SOS shuttle bus cheering on the torch.
