Nutrition Basics for Triathletes

Pros share their stories of nutrition for triathlon training and racing

Completing a triathlon is a feat.  Training effectively for three disciplines – swimming, running, and cycling - is mentally, physically, and nutritionally challenging.  It can be hard to figure out how best to fuel for each activity - when and with what?  In this special episode of ClifCast, we look at just that: the basics of nutrition for triathletes.  We hear from three Team CLIF Bar athletes and leading professionals—Ben Hoffman, Timothy O'Donnell and Linsey Corbin—each sharing their stories of nutrition for triathlon training and racing.  We also hear from Tara DelloIacono -Thies, Clif Bar's registered dietician, speaking about the importance of nutrition and the way it affects your body and your performance.  What should your eating habits look like while training?
