5 Team Clif Athletes Hoping to Represent US in 2012 Olympics

USA Cycling has announced the long roster for the 2012 Olympic mountain biking team.  Team Clif bar is well represented, with 5 athletes in contention for spots on the final roster travelling to London.

US Champ Todd Wells

For the men’s team, Todd Wells and Mike Broderick were selected.  Todd has been crushing it far and wide, most recently at La Ruta de Los Conquistadores.  Mike is deep in winter training at a top secret location in Northern California, keeping it fresh with costumes and wigs.

Three Clif athletes made the list for the women’s team.   Mary McConneloug is holed up with Mike at NORAD FAR WEST, modeling muddy kits between training rides.  Chloe Woodruff has just completed a successful cross season and will be launching full force in to mountain bike training for 2012.  Luna Pro Team rider Georgia Gould also made the selection after a successful 2011, finishing ranked 16th in the world.   Georgia also raced a full cross season, but with slightly unorthodox goals.

Chloe Woodruff (recently married, not just weird)

Congratulations to all the riders selected – you can see the full list here (you know you love hyperlinks).  Stay tuned to see who makes the final selection!
