Kessler Leads Amazing Six-Hour Trainer Ride for Charity

A few months back I received some not-so-constructive feedback based on a past blog post in which I suggested some creative ways of training for cyclists with little spare time. If you read the Clif Blog and took it seriously, it might seem like our CLIF Shot Brand Manager regularly forces his kids to eat in a dank, dark garage while he spins away for hours on his stationary trainer.

So, in an effort to reverse the effect of that post, I'm now writing a story that will show

Get Your Stage-Race On! - Stage Races in March

Murrieta, Madera, San Dimas and Redlands headline California's March stage-race madness! Those of you who managed to stay awake through 10th grade Lit are likely to remember the soothsayer's eerie warning to Julius Caesar: "Beware the Ides of March." Some, with their seasons already kicked into gear, were even winning things - in January! Crazy, huh? Friday through Sunday, the TCB Elite Cycling squad gathered down in the south bay for a

Garmin’s Cam Meyer Takes Stage 4 Down Under

Garmin - Cervelo's Cameron Meyer was victorious at the Tour Down Under today (Yesterday? Tomorrow? Does anyone really know what day it is down there?), winning Stage 4 in glorious fashion in a two-up sprint against one of his three breakaway companions.

The 23 year-old Australian worked hard to get into the only successful break of the day and had a distinct advantage in that teammate Matt Wilson also made the split. In a race where virtually every stage comes down to a bunch

Training in the Spaces in Between

Many athletes know the frustration of balancing real-life responsibility with the need to train and compete. As life gets busier and spare time becomes an invaluable commodity, we often have to make some tough choices to maintain a workable home life while retaining a semblance of our past fitness. Do you spend your one or two days off each week with your kids? Or do you go out and get the four-hour training ride you need in the bank so you can hang in next week's local crit? You can mull those two options, or you can get super-creative and have it both ways.
