CLIF Kit: Jeremy Jones’ Further Unplugged

With the constant physical demands of bottom-up approaches, Jeremy Jones (Team CLIF Bar) knows that reliable fuel is just as important as reliable equipment. When Jeremy sets off on another challenging ascent, Clif SHOT Bloks and Clif SHOT Gels are his go-to source for the full-force nutrition needed to top out, drop in, and get back to camp in one piece. Check out this episode of Further Unplugged and get a better sense for what's going into Jeremy's pack (and body) on his epicly

Amy Sproston Wins the 100K World Championships!

This past Sunday, Montrail runner Amy Sproston won the 100K World Championships held in Seregno, Italy.  The course was a mix of alleys, parks, parking lots, rough roads and tight turns – a varied 20K loop that the runners completed 5 times (math!!).  Amy shocked the field, and herself, with the win as she had been battling a pulmonary embolism caused by deep vein thrombosis a few weeks before the event.  Amy improved on her 11th place finish in 2011 and completed the course in

Tiempo Para La Playa, a new route on Aguja Innominata, in Argentine Patagonia

Kate Rutherford (Team CLIF Bar) checks in after some well deserved tiempo en la playa.  New routes (a far cry from beach time), pendulums, Patagonia prowess and more.  Check out this account of Kate and Mikey's latest full value day tour.

At the end of a wild Patagonia season Mikey Schafer and I packed our packs for one more climb. There had been so much warm weather that it had created crazy rock fall and we were scared for our lives on our previous new route up St
