Mark Allen’s French Toast

 

Mark’s French Toast

1 egg whole + 4 egg whites

2 slices whole grain bread

nut butter (peanut butter, etc)

real maple syrup

1 tsp canola oil for cooking

Combine eggs until smooth. Dip bread into scrambled egg mixture. Grill in oiled medium hot skillet on both sides until brown. Spread nut butter on French toast and spoon syrup over the whole show.

Tip: Heating maple syrup before pouring over toast will enable you to use less. Spooning instead of pouring will also reduce the amount you use.
