Team Garmin-Cervélo at the Tour of California with the Clif Bar Food Mobile

Walk into a team hotel at the Tour of California at dinnertime and the Garmin-Cervélo table is empty. While the other teams load their plates from buffet tables then gravitate to their assigned seats, to find the Garmin-Cervélo boys you have to go to the parking lot.

From Team Garmin-Cervélo: This year the team brought along the Clif Bar Food Mobile to prepare breakfast and dinner for the riders. Every morning and evening the team congregates in the team bus where they feast on

Garmin’s Cam Meyer Takes Stage 4 Down Under

Garmin - Cervelo's Cameron Meyer was victorious at the Tour Down Under today (Yesterday? Tomorrow? Does anyone really know what day it is down there?), winning Stage 4 in glorious fashion in a two-up sprint against one of his three breakaway companions.

The 23 year-old Australian worked hard to get into the only successful break of the day and had a distinct advantage in that teammate Matt Wilson also made the split. In a race where virtually every stage comes down to a bunch

TEAM CLIF BAR Climber Dean Potter Recounts Free Solo Climb of Yosemite’s Half Dome

As the light of the seasons begins to change, days are shorter, shadows grow longer, and the prime time to climb comes to life! Here is an historic personal account by TEAM CLIF BAR's Dean Potter and his 1998 Speed Solo of Half Dome. Though this climb is one of the past, the imagery, the sentiments and the sensations awakened are truly timeless. Climb on Dean! Entranced by the flight of a raven, I watch its shadow move effortlessly against golden, shimmering granite. I long to be that free, flying above the cluttered world of normalcy, where so many are half alive. Lately I am absorbed with thoughts of the pastor of what I'm hoping to do. I stare at Half Dome, watching the shadow from the setting sun race up its sheer face. Cool air floods the valley floor and smells of evening call me to my bivy site and sleep. Still, the image of the black bird soars throughout my dreams.

Two Continents, Two Wins: Garmin Pulls Off the Giro/Cali Double

The Garmin-Transitions pro cycling team pulled off a magical feat this past Tuesday, winning stages simultaneously at two of the world's premier cycling events: The Giro d'Italia and the Tour of California.

Tyler Farrar & Champagne @ Giro

David Zabriskie smartly forged a break with Levi Leipheimer and Michael Rogers on the Bonny Doon climb near the end of the Tour of California's hilly third stage. And let's face it, once those three are off and working together in a break, it's going to take a pretty

Troy Wells’ Well of Knowledge—New Year in Belgium

While Eric & I have been working to usher in the New Year here in Berkeley at the Team Clif Bar lair, TCB Cyclocrosser Troy Wells has been hanging out in Belgium, likely eating most of that country's food. Considering that Troy's probably chowing down on all the tasty grub to be had there, it's really a wonder that he's racing at all. Here's a list (courtesy of belgium.angloinfo.com) of what Troy's up against when he sits down at the meal counter:

  • Smoutebollen: A fried pastry
