Bikes, Beer and Barbecue: 7 reasons why North Carolina rocks!

When one ponders the great cycling destinations of the world, the same locales almost always come to mind: The French Alps...Tuscany...the Pyrenees...North Carolina.

Well, OK, some might argue that last one doesn’t belong. But, after spending a week on my bike with some Team Clif teammates in the Tar Heel State, I’m here to tell ya it’s pretty dang cool! If you need a little more convincing, I’ve compiled my top 7 reasons why summertime in North Carolina can be quite delightful for

Five… Four… Three… Two…

Pro triathlete and Team Clif Bar athlete Linsey Corbin has been on a hot streak of late. After finishing fifth, fourth, third, and then second place consecutively in her last four triathlons, Linsey jokingly told us last week that “this can only mean first place is right around the corner.”

Tyler Stewart-The Top American at the US Pro Championship

Tyler crosses the finish at the 2007 For Ironman USA Lake Placid On Sunday July 22nd at Ford Ironman USA Lake Placid TCB sponsored triathlete Tyler Stewart of Team EndurancePTC raced her first Ironman as a pro, finished 2nd, and ended up the top American at the U.S. Pro Championship—a truly amazing breakout performance. Wow.

Another TCB triathlete, Linsey Corbin, finished 5th—so two nice showings at Lake Placid by great individuals who also happen to be stellar triathletes.

Diane Henry of Endurance Performance Training Centers had this to say

Breaks-the Good, the Bad and the, um… Odd

It’s June 25th and I’m back in the office after heading east for a bit to visit some friends and family. It was an adventure—of sorts. Sometimes breaks don’t go quite as planned. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the many random variations of breaks.

As some of you likely know already—I’m broken. My left wrist has been rebuilt with some handy-dandy titanium hardware and I’m in the process of trying to feel less broken. This type of break is not so good.

On another not so
