This past Saturday in Bellingham, WA the 20th Anniversary edition of the Chuckanut 50K was run in cold conditions with a mix of light snow and some rain. Team Montrail and Team Clif runner Ellie Greenwood showed good early season form to take the win and to take another 3 minutes or so off her course record, set in last year’s victory.

Last year’s men’s champ, Geoff Roes, was not competing this year, having just crushed the Iditarod Trail Invitational (check out all the stuff he carried for 350 miles!).
The Montrail and Clif runners scored another podium spot with Joelle Vaught who finished third in the women’s race. We are psyched to see these ultra animals wake up from winter hibernation with fire in the legs! Grab your favorite energy snack and get ready for a strong season of really long runs on dirt trails.
