If you read our blog (hi mom!) you may be familiar with Chuck Engle.  If not, here are some quick stats on the man they call The Marathon Junkie:

-          44 marathons in 2011 (so far)

-          33 wins in 2011

-          44 career course records

In 2011 Chuck also competed in the London Marathon then hopped a flight back to the States to compete in the Boston Marathon – all in less than 24 hours.  Other than achieving Prestigelitexpertopflight status on all major air carriers, Chuck also achieved a career goal this year by completing his quest of winning a marathon in all 50 states.  His victory at the Louisiana Trails marathon, below, was the final piece of the puzzle, completing a gold medal US map. 

50 wins in 50 states - awesome!

Congrats, Chuck on reaching this monumental goal (50 states, really?!) and we are looking forward to seeing what you get up to in 2012.
