This time of year, it seems everyone has a Best Of list or reader’s poll to celebrate the previous year’s achievements.   UltraRunning Magazine announced the results of their poll, and Team CLIF runners nabbed both the men and women’s top places with Dave Mackey and Ellie Greenwood being named North American ultra runners of the year.

Dave had a solid year, claiming 5 victories including the Miwok 100K, the country’s largest 100K race.

Ellie had a true breakout year – winning the ultra of all ultras, Western States 100. 

Many of the team runners received acknowledgements, including Geoff Roes, Leigh Schmitt, Amy Spronston and Annette Bednosky.  You can see the full vote tally here.

Congratulations Dave and Ellie!  We can’t wait to see what you can do in 2012 to keep the top spot on lockdown.
