(August 9, 2007) – LUNA Sport™ is energizing the sports nutrition category with the launch today of the first ever natural sports nutrition product line made for women athletes at the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, Utah. Inspired by the LUNA Pro Team Athletes and Team Luna Chix ambassadors, LUNA Sport is designed to meet the specific needs of women athletes and fills a gap in the sports nutrition market. It is an extension of LUNA’s four existing product lines and furthers LUNA’s expertise of providing Whole Nutrition for Women.
The new LUNA Sport line, available at sports retail locations beginning in September, includes three delicious products: LUNA Sport Moons Energy Chews, LUNA Sport Electrolyte Splash and LUNA Sport Recovery Smoothie. Developed to meet the needs of women athletes, the products contain key vitamins and minerals women athletes are often lacking like folic acid, calcium, iron, B vitamins and antioxidant vitamins A, C & E.
Each product is sized with the right amount of calories to keep women energized and ready for their next workout. Additionally, the smaller bite-sized product and packaging fit easily in women’s mouths and jersey pockets, unlike the larger-sized sports products on the market today.
