Andy Macdonald

San Diego’s Andy Macdonald has been skating at the top of the pro ranks for over fifteen years, often landing on the podium at Dew Tour and Summer X Games events. But, despite all his success as a pro athlete, Andy remains one of the coolest dudes on the planet. Five years ago, he created the Clash at Clairemont, an all-star skate event that benefits the Grind For Life Foundation, an organization which provides financial assistance to cancer patients and their families.

Andy also takes time to skate with the locals when he’s on the road, and is always a positive role model for young skaters. Keeping it real does have its privileges, however, and before delivering an anti-drug speech and introducing president Clinton in 1999, Andy took the opportunity to become the only athlete to skate on the marble floors of the White house. According to Andy, the Secret Service agents were not that impressed. When Andy’s not on the road, you’ll often find him skating at the local park at the Mission Valley YMCA - he’ll be the one humming the Sanford & Son theme and handing out the Carrot Cake Clif Bars.
