Bob Shebest

Santa Rosa, California’s Bob Shebest may own the most impressive overall resume among athletes on the TCB roster. Bob’s a USAT Level 1 certified coach, has a Master’s degree in education from the U. Of Connecticut, competed in both the Boston Marathon and Ironman Worlds three times, won the Full Vineman Triathlon in 2006, and finished the Tahoe Rim Trail 100-miler twice. Phew!

When he’s not coaching or crushing a triathlon or running race, he’s teaching math and science to 6th graders at Windsor Middle School – and slowly turning some of them into endurance athletes. Despite all the apparent brains, Bob has a history of taking the occasional wrong turn at pivotal moments in races. In fact, in the 2006 Daytona 500, when he was on peak form, Bob accidentally took a right hander during lap 198, costing him the win and coveted prize purse.
