Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda

We signed on with Team TIAA-CREF/5280 almost a decade ago.
It was a fledgling junior development program being launched by JV, who we’d worked with back when he was riding professionally. We signed on to support this squad because it was a great regional effort with all sorts of promise. There was talk of Tour de France invites and other big results – but that was so far down the road. It’s certainly great to have dreams as a young team, but in our opinion the program was doing plenty of good stuff without Grand Tour and Classics victories. We weren’t signing on with any expectations of the glory that the team would eventually achieve.
Nowadays, the Garmin-Sharp Pro Cycling squad is one of the top teams in the world – and CLIF has been there every step of the way. It’s hard to keep up with all the stellar results – from Christian’s recent USA Pro Cycling Challenge win, to Ryder’s fantastic Giro victory, to Johan’s stellar Paris-Roubaix finish. If you’d asked us 10 years ago if we’d ever see the CLIF logo on a rider hoisting a Paris-Roubaix cobble from the top step of the podium we would have probably just laughed. We’d like to see a unicorn too.
Now we only have the unicorn left on that list.
