Geoff Roes

Geoff Roes’ list of ultra running achievements is really long – sort of like some of his mountain runs. After re-discovering running while living in Alaska back in 2005, Geoff went on to win and set course records at some of the most prestigious trail races in the US, including Western States 100 (2010), Wasatch 100 (2008 + 2009), Mountain Masochist 50 (2009), Crow Pass Crossing (2009, 2010 + 2011), Chuckanut 50k (2011), and Ultra Race of Champions 100k (2011). Geoff was voted Ultrarunning magazine's 2009 and 2010 "Ultrarunner of the Year". Most recently, Geoff won the foot division of the 350 mile Iditarod Trail Invitational – winning the race in 6d23h30m.

Despite his accomplishments, Geoff remains a kind, easy going individual who is always up for an adventure on foot through the mountains outside his Boulder, Colorado home. During the summers months you’ll find him sharing his love for and knowledge of ultra mountain running at his running camps in Juneau, Alaska.
