Trevor Gordon

Free Surfer

In his own words: "I am a twenty-one-year-old sea-going, outdoor-craving, wave riding, painting-making person. I’m all about having the most fun as possible with what you’ve got, be it running up the riverbeds in the mountains around here on a flat day (he calls Santa Barbara, CA home), chasing swell by land and sea, or painting with my hands when a paintbrush is missing."

Trevor takes a different approach to his surfing lifestyle, and he might just be riding the wave of the future. Beyond some early career comps, he's been fortunate enough to be able to take his profession on different route of travel and exploration. He recently had an amazing surf experience off the west coast of India, far away from the hustle and bustle of mainland India.

As one of his more memorable surf experiences; last winter he got in touch with photographer Jeremy Koreski for a quick surf adventure. Next thing he knew they were taking a seaplane to a little island off the coast of Vancouver Island, staying in tree house cabins, hiking for waves and fly fishing in pristine BC rivers. Now that's a modern, and enviable, approach to making a living.
