How would you describe what you do to someone who knows nothing about Clif Bar or your role?

I support the Creative and Digital teams with their Mac computers at Clif Bar HQ. Every day I get to work side by side with amazing designers and creative minds; helping them increase productivity and preventing them from being held back by computer troubles. I’m always looking for ways to make life easier for our Mac users, and I get to partner up with multiple members of our team to make it happen!

What do you love most about working at Clif Bar?

The culture! I love how Clif Bar empowers their employees to volunteer and invest in themselves, as well as the planet. Stress is not something that survives long in an environment that has as many caring people as Clif Bar. Whenever I even start to get stressed, there’s always someone to pull me out of it. Whether it’s a quick Ping-Pong match or climbing session, there’s something for everyone.

What are your interests and passions outside of work?

I have far too many interests to count, but whatever I’m doing I need to be surrounded by people (the more the merrier). Whether I’m at the park, the movies, or a show, it all seems to be a little better with good friends.

I enjoy painting, rock climbing, and dancing (listed in order from best to worst).

What is one of your most memorable food experiences?

I once worked at a local chicken wing spot that had an extremely spicy hot sauce. This sauce was made with Cayenne peppers and most of the ingredients you’d commonly find in police pepper spray. When I first started, it was recommended that I try just a drop of this sauce. I love spicy food and I don’t like to be hazed, so I decided an entire spoonful would be best…

Needless to say, the next hour was quite the “experience”. One pint of milk, one glass of water, and three packets of sugar still could not quell the inferno that blazed. I then threw up in the parking lot and ended my first day early! I learned a valuable lesson on how peer pressure and cayenne peppers do not mix well.

What has been or will be your greatest adventure?

So far, moving to California has been my greatest adventure. I moved to the Bay Area in April of 2015 not knowing anyone in the entire state. I’ve met so many amazing people and seen so many beautiful sights. I can’t wait to explore all that California has to offer!

My next big adventure is heading up north to get lost in the Redwoods!
