How would you describe what you do to someone who knows nothing about Clif Bar or your role?
I bring the Clif Bar brand to life for thousands of people to experience in New York City and the North East. From sampling CB&C products at expos, to setting up a Clif Kids pump track in Central Park, to creating a Waterman’s Weekend in Montauk, we’re out and about building a grassroots approach to marketing that’s community focused. We wear many hats in the field, working with our sustainability team, sports marketing, digital, PR, and other parts of the business.
What do you love most about working at Clif Bar?
No two days are the same. Beyond that, our five aspirations model creates a unique company atmosphere where it’s extra important for us to get out and involved in the community through sports and volunteering.
What are your interests and passions outside of work?
My dad has always had a passion for aviation and it’s motivated me to work on my private pilot’s license. Growing up I was always in the water swimming or skateboarding. This grew into a love of surfing and snowboarding which has inspired a lot of my recent traveling.
What is one of your most memorable food experiences?
My grandmother was born in Sicily and while I was never able to meet her my study abroad experience in college took me there for the first time. It was a full immersion into the food culture and language. There are tons of unique artisan products in the south that come from generations of handed down recipes and traditions whether it’s wine, olive oils, or a perfect dish of nero di seppia.
What has been or will be your greatest adventure?
Any activity that requires some navigation and a couple of unknowns. Whether it’s surfing a new unfamiliar spot, flight planning, paddling or hiking. You go in not knowing entirely what to expect and come out confident with the satisfaction of learning something new.
