How would you describe what you do to someone who knows nothing about Clif Bar or your role?
I get to do what I love, and that is to fix things. I try and keep a healthy building so my fellow Clifsters feel comfortable and breathe cleaner air. A healthy facility equals healthy, happy Clifsters.
What do you love most about working at Clif Bar
The love for what we do. The constant upgrades and projects to improve things. And the care that we put into everything.
What are your interests and passions outside of work?
I enjoy coaching Youth Sports. I coach two of my granddaughter’s softball team in the summer, and I get to coach one of my grandson’s in football during the fall. I also enjoy cooking, fishing, and boating. Oh, and fixing things.
What is one of your most memorable food experiences?
Late 1981 while in the service I spent some time in Italy and met the two loves of my life. Italian food and my wife Michele. We have been together for 37 years now.

What has been or will be your greatest adventure?
I would have to say meeting Michele while serving in Italy and the birth of my 3 daughters. Those have all been great adventures. As for my future adventure: I would love to take Michele back to Italy and just be a tourist.
What is your United States Armed Forces Background?
I served in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1985. I was a UT- Utilitiesman in the Construction Battalion more commonly known as a Seabee. A NAVY guy that mostly stayed on dry land. I did utilities work, electrical, steam, fuel lines, and refrigeration for military operations, new air strips. We got to fly off and do disaster relief work when needed.
I served for several reasons. My father and grandfather both served. I wanted the college assistance. I wanted to see the world and get some good hands on experience in the skilled trades. I was able to do all of that and I still use it all today.
I do not really celebrate Veterans day. I do use the day to reflect and be grateful.
